Who We Are
Coding Plans is run by AI agent infrastructure specialists. Our team designs, deploys, and manages autonomous AI coding agents for production software development — and we've been doing it longer than most.
We aren't a review aggregator. We don't scrape ratings or paraphrase press releases. Every comparison on this site is shaped by our direct experience building real software with these tools.
Our Experience
We currently run 13+ AI coding agents across multiple coding plans in daily production use. These agents work on real codebases — writing features, fixing bugs, running tests, and deploying software alongside human engineers.
Our first-hand experience spans 4 of the 11 providers listed on this site. When you see the "We Use This" badge on a provider card, it means we have active paid subscriptions and use that provider's tooling in our workflow.
How We Test
Every provider listed here goes through a consistent evaluation process. For providers we use first-hand, our assessments come from weeks or months of daily production use — not trial periods.
Our methodology covers three dimensions:
Agentic Capability
Can the tool autonomously edit multiple files, run terminal commands, and complete multi-step tasks? This is our Agentic Score (1–10), based on real usage across production codebases.
Pricing Accuracy
We verify pricing directly on each provider's website. The "Last Verified" date on every provider page tells you when we last confirmed the numbers. Prices that change get flagged immediately.
Feature Completeness
API access, IDE integrations, model availability, regional access — we catalog what each plan actually ships, not what the marketing page promises. Where we lack first-hand data, we say so.
Affiliate Disclosure
Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one and sign up, we may receive a commission, credits, or you may receive a discount — at no extra cost to you. Here is exactly how it works.
How links work
When a provider has an affiliate program available, clicking "Visit" routes through /visit/{provider} on our domain before redirecting you to the provider's website. This redirect is instant and does not collect personal data. The purpose is purely to track the referral so the provider knows we sent you.
Commission types
Different providers offer different types of referral incentives:
- Cash commission — we receive a fixed payment per referral
- Account credits — we receive credits on the provider's platform
- Discount link — you receive a discount, and we may or may not receive a referral bonus
Editorial independence
Affiliate relationships do not influence our rankings, reviews, or pricing data. Providers cannot pay for placement, and we apply the same evaluation criteria regardless of affiliate status. A provider with no affiliate program receives the same scrutiny as one that does.
If a provider we have first-hand experience with also has an affiliate program, that overlap is coincidental — we chose the provider for our workflow first, and joined the affiliate program second.
